Privacy Policy

This is not a government website. Tooele County Resources is an independent community resource directory. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or operated by Tooele County or any other municipality, agency, or government entity.

We built this site to help people find resources — not to collect information about them. We keep data collection to an absolute minimum, and this page explains exactly what that means.

What we don't collect

Browsing this website is anonymous. We do not use:

Analytics or visitor-tracking tools (no Google Analytics, no pixels, no heatmaps)
Advertising or third-party marketing trackers
Cookies or browser storage on our public pages
Any profile, login, or account for visitors

We never sell, rent, or share your information, because in normal use we don't have any to share.

Information you choose to submit

The only personal information we receive is what you voluntarily provide through our Submit a Resource form — for example your name, email address, and the details of the resource you're suggesting or correcting.

When you submit that form, the information is sent to the operators of this website by email (through an email delivery service) so we can review your suggestion and update the directory. A confirmation copy is sent to the email address you provide. This information is not stored in a database, not sold, and not used for marketing. We keep submission emails only as long as needed to act on them, and you can ask us to delete yours at any time (see Contact).

Server logs

Like virtually every website, the company that hosts our servers keeps routine technical logs (such as IP address, browser type, and the time of a request) for security, reliability, and abuse prevention. We do not use these logs to build profiles, track individuals across the web, or identify our visitors.

Links to other organizations

This directory links out to many third-party organizations, providers, and government sites. Once you follow a link away from this site, you are subject to that organization's own privacy practices, which we don't control and aren't responsible for. For example, the “Español” link in the site header opens the current page through Google Translate; once there, Google's privacy practices apply.

Changes to this policy

If we change how this site handles information, we'll update this page and revise the “Last updated” date above.
